About the position

The Business Analyst at HORUS Technology Solutions will be responsible for analyzing, documenting, and managing business requirements throughout the project lifecycle. This role serves as a liaison between business and technical teams to ensure that business goals are met through innovative and effective solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Elicit, review, and analyze business functional and data requirements.
  • Translate business needs into technical requirements and help guide the design of technology solutions.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other staff to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Support the testing phase of system modifications to ensure the final product meets the stakeholders' business needs and expectations.
  • Interact with stakeholders to understand their business objectives and translate them into operational improvements and software system requirements.
  • Perform feasibility analyses, scope projects, and work with the project management team to prioritize deliverables and negotiate product functionalities.
  • Provide analytical support for project teams, including data collection, trend identification, data visualization, and result interpretation.
  • Create web page wireframes to clearly define and communicate new and changed user interface.
  • Develop and execute complex PostreSQL database queries to analyze data to facilitate an understanding of system processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a business analyst or in related field, such as process improvement, project management, or information technology.
  • Experience in data analysis and management.
  • Strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Knowledge of business process modelling and reengineering.
  • Extensive experience with creating and executing complex SQL scripts to retrieve data from complex PostreSQL databases.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, business analysis software, wireframe creation tools, and data analysis tools.
  • A deep understanding of business functions, processes, and strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills; the ability to clearly explain complex data and technical information to stakeholders and other team members.
  • Problem-solving abilities to identify issues within business operations, processes, and strategies, and propose effective solutions.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
