About the position

The Business Analyst will join the procurement team at Aston Carter, focusing on data mining and creating market reports to support data-driven purchasing decisions. This role involves connecting Excel to the company's ERP system, analyzing data, and guiding the IS team in developing dashboards. The analyst will manage monthly costs, including budgets and inventory, and utilize Power BI for performance analysis and forecasting, primarily supporting operations in Kalamazoo with potential global reporting responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform data mining and create key market reports to support procurement decisions.
• Connect Excel to the company's ERP system and analyze data.
• Direct the IS team in creating accurate dashboards from scratch.
• Manage monthly costs, including budgets and inventory.
• Utilize Power BI for data-driven performance and forecasting.
• Support procurement activities primarily in Kalamazoo, with potential global reporting duties.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Power BI for database building.
• SQL database experience.
• Experience with ERP systems, particularly Panjiva and Infor M3.
• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience with supply chain software.
