About the position

The IT Business Analyst will play a crucial role in analyzing, designing, and implementing IT systems to meet the organization's strategic objectives. This position requires a strong understanding of both business processes and technology, enabling the candidate to bridge the gap between business needs and IT solutions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives, processes, and requirements.
• Conduct thorough analysis of business processes, systems, and data to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
• Translate business requirements into clear and comprehensive technical specifications for IT development teams.
• Work closely with development teams to ensure solutions align with business needs and requirements.
• Facilitate communication between business stakeholders and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Perform gap analysis to identify discrepancies between current state and desired future state.
• Create and maintain documentation including business requirements, process flows, use cases, and test plans.
• Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) and provide support during implementation and post-implementation phases.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies relevant to business analysis and IT systems.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the IT organization.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
• Proven experience as a business analyst in IT projects, with a strong understanding of software development methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
• Solid understanding of business process modeling techniques and tools.
• Proficiency in documenting business requirements, process flows, and technical specifications.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience with project management tools and techniques.
• Familiarity with Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies.
• Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) is a plus.
• Experience in specific industries such as finance, healthcare, or manufacturing may be preferred depending on the organization's focus.
