About the position

NicoServ is seeking experienced Business Analysts and Business Systems Analysts with a background in financial services to support large financial firms in developing advanced technology solutions. The role involves managing all aspects of requirements delivery, including planning, elicitation, analysis, documentation, and stakeholder management. Candidates will facilitate collaborative sessions, analyze business needs, and ensure that requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Execute all aspects of requirements delivery including planning, elicitation, analysis, and documentation.
• Perform stakeholder analysis to identify impacted groups and their requirements.
• Develop plans and accurate estimates for completion of requirements.
• Manage risks, assumptions, and constraints for requirements and communicate them to appropriate parties.
• Define the business analysis approach including tasks and deliverables based on project methodology.
• Lead requirements prioritization and leverage techniques to drive out business priorities.
• Facilitate collaborative sessions with diverse business stakeholder groups for requirements discovery and analysis.
• Apply advanced elicitation techniques to work with different types of stakeholder groups.
• Analyze and document the scope of the business solution using enterprise-standard requirements methodology.
• Build and maintain a repository of reusable requirements documentation to support future initiatives.
• Provide consulting services to business stakeholders regarding vendor evaluation and requirements documentation.
• Prepare requirements for review and lead walkthrough and sign-off sessions.
• Support QA in the development of Functional System test cases and validate coverage of critical requirements.
• Support UAT and PIV activities including planning and defect triage.

Requirements

• 5-10+ years of experience in the financial industry.
• 5-10 years of strong business analyst skills in eliciting, gathering, and documenting requirements.
• 5+ years of strong technical and data mapping skills, including data mapping batch transactions to API formats and knowledge of the trading life cycle.
• Basic SQL query experience and understanding of data lakes/repositories.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Trading Systems (1 year preferred).
• Experience with SQL (2 years preferred).
• Experience with data mapping (2 years preferred).
