About the position
The Business Analytics Advisor will support the development and maintenance of a reporting and analytics environment within the Sales and Provider Analytics organization. This role focuses on providing insights and informing decision-making across the organization by partnering with various teams to define data requirements, design database structures, and implement validation checks to ensure data accuracy. The advisor will lead complex analytics projects, leveraging their expertise to advise functional leaders and contribute to broader business initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Act as a key subject matter expert (SME) for data within the reporting and analytics environment
- Develop and deliver complex analytics and reporting projects and/or solutions
- Integrate and analyze data from multiple sources to create and support data assets for BI and analytical consumption
- Use strong programming skills to explore, examine, and interpret large volumes of data in various forms
- Develop analytic solutions that meet the needs of the business
- Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver repeatable and quality data assets
- Ensure code is appropriately documented and understandable by other analysts
- Ensure analytic approach and results are clearly understood by business partners
- Exhibit full understanding of data and leverage it appropriately.
Requirements
- Strong technical skills in data extraction, transformation, and tool development
- Expertise in SQL, Python, GitHub, AWS, Databricks, Terraform Scripts, CICD, Mac OS/Linux
- Proven ability to manipulate, validate, and interpret data from various sources
- Proven experience in designing and implementing 'no touch' automation in a CI/CD environment
- Working knowledge of enterprise data warehouse methodologies and data extraction methods using tools to connect to Teradata, Hadoop, Oracle, DB2, etc.
- Excellent collaboration and partnership skills
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in complex matrix organizations and agile teams
- Ability to independently perform data analysis while managing multiple projects and meeting strict deadlines
- Strong communication skills including written, oral, and group presentations.
