About the position

The Business Analytics Senior Advisor position within the Medicare Growth Analytics Team at Cigna Healthcare is designed to provide leadership in analytics strategy and support the Medicare Growth team by delivering actionable insights. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to execute key deliverables and drive data-driven initiatives that align with Cigna's goals. The advisor will focus on analytical projects related to Medicare Growth, Customer Lifetime Value, and Competitive Analysis, among others, while enhancing the understanding of distribution channel performance and its impact on growth and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert content/professional leadership on complex analytics assignments/projects.
• Exercise creativity, foresight, and judgement in delivering initiatives.
• Manage projects from beginning to end, including stakeholder engagement and data review.
• Analyze results and present data in a consumable method, making executive-level recommendations.
• Enhance understanding of distribution channel performance and its impact on growth and profitability.
• Incorporate a growth mindset into approach, utilizing a sales and disenrollment mindset.
• Forecast impact of investments and perform root cause analysis on variances.
• Perform data validation analysis and maintain ongoing monitoring of solutions.
• Partner with analytics and growth team members to improve department procedures.
• Maintain analytics skillset through understanding of new technologies and automation techniques.
• Identify additional data necessary for innovative metrics to understand performance of initiatives.
• Compile and present analytical results to stakeholders, identifying and prioritizing opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Actuarial Science, Marketing, Economics, or Finance or equivalent work experience.
• 5 or more years of Data Analytics or Business Analytics experience required.
• Medicare experience preferred.
• Experience with Sales, Marketing, and/or growth analytics preferred, preferably in a health insurance business.
• Strong analytical acumen and mindset.
• Acute attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively and establish working relationships.
