About the position

The position involves providing guidance to program managers on financial reporting objectives and standards to ensure the production of accurate, compliant, and useful financial reports. The role includes initiating and maintaining project setups in Unanet, conducting financial analysis, preparing forecasts, and monitoring project budgets and commitments. Additionally, the position requires analyzing trends in various business areas and presenting findings to senior management, as well as performing contracts and pricing tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance to program managers in financial reporting objectives and standards.
  • Initiate, monitor, and maintain proper project setup in Unanet.
  • Prepare forecasts and analysis of trends in manufacturing, sales, and other related areas.
  • Identify trends and developments in competitive environments and present findings to senior management.
  • Conduct budgeting and financial analysis tasks, including developing project cost/schedule baselines and budgets.
  • Monitor project actuals and resolve issues.
  • Monitor outstanding project commitments (e.g., travel, subcontracts).
  • Develop monthly project financial forecasts/EACs and conduct variance analysis.
  • Monitor project burn rate against funding remaining.
  • Analyze project reports to identify and resolve issues.
  • Document and support monthly program reviews.
  • Calculate earned value and analysis for projects.
  • Review and analyze contracts, subcontracts, and agreements to ensure project meets financial and reporting requirements.
  • Provide assistance with pricing and historical data collection.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in management or other relevant discipline required.
  • Desired government contracting experience.
  • Desired cost and financial analysis experience.
  • Desired experience with SQL or other relational databases.
  • Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Creative in the ability to process improve and automate.
  • Knowledge, understanding, and experience with ERP systems.
  • Hands-on experience assembling analytical tools for operations.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel.
  • 2+ years of professional experience in the required task area.
  • Experience in Earned Value Management desired.
  • Experience with Unanet desired.
  • Knowledge in Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint preferred.
