About the position

Americo is seeking a Business and Quality Analyst who will play a dual role as both a Business Analyst (BA) and a Quality Analyst (QA). This position is crucial for ensuring that projects meet company objectives with innovation and efficiency while improving speed to market. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and executing test plans for various projects, collaborating with different areas of the company to elicit, document, and manage business requirements throughout the project lifecycle. This role requires a strong understanding of the life insurance and annuity industry, as well as the ability to provide detailed feedback during the requirements phase of projects. The Business and Quality Analyst will also be tasked with maintaining a test bed for reusability and efficiency, providing metrics and feedback on issues found, and ensuring quality results in technical implementations across business processes, analysis, modeling, and integration. Responsibilities

  • Review requirements, specs, and technical designs to provide detailed feedback to the project team during the requirements phase of the project.
  • Reuse and/or create efficient test strategies and test plans based on the scope and requirements.
  • Execute and maintain a test bed for reusability and efficiency.
  • Provide metrics and feedback on issues found and tracked in defects.
  • Ensure quality results of technical implementation in business processes, analysis, modeling, and integration.
  • Collaborate with all areas of the business and IT to elicit, document, and manage business requirements during the life-cycle of a project, including traceability and testing.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the life insurance and annuity industry.
  • Good skills with MS Office to chart, analyze, and document processes and business requirements (such as Excel, Word, Visio, etc.) as well as Azure DevOps.
  • Strong leadership, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Very good interpersonal skills, particularly non-judgmental (active listening) skills.
  • Good analytical, critical thinking, time management, and task management skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate (both written and verbal) and build trusting relationships with associates at all levels of the organization.
  • Four year college education or equivalent work experience.
