Our team is dedicated to leading the Overseas IT strategy, architecture, roadmap, and execution, with a focus on satisfying both internal and external customers. We aspire to become a world-class global IT team, and we are looking for a motivated student from a reputable university in the US to join our IT Enterprise Applications team as a Business Application Engineer Intern. In this role, you will contribute to enhancing the UI/UX design of our enterprise applications, develop and test application integrations, and assist with application design and project management. You will gather business requirements, analyze processes, and provide both conceptual and detailed designs to meet business needs. Collaboration with the UI/UX design team will be essential to enhance the user interface and user experience of our applications. You will also assist in the development and testing of application integrations to ensure seamless functionality across platforms. Your responsibilities will include documenting and reporting bugs and issues found during testing, working closely with developers to ensure timely resolution, and supporting project management activities such as task tracking, documentation, and communication with stakeholders. Participation in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, daily standup calls, and design reviews will allow you to contribute ideas and insights, fostering a collaborative environment. Responsibilities

• Gather business requirements, analyze the process, and provide conceptual and detailed design to meet business needs.
• Collaborate with the UI/UX design team to enhance the user interface and user experience of our enterprise applications.
• Assist in the development and testing of application integrations to ensure seamless functionality across platforms.
• Contribute to the design and prototyping of new application features and enhancements.
• Document and report bugs and issues found during testing and work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
• Support project management activities, including task tracking, documentation, and communication with stakeholders.
• Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, daily standup calls, and design reviews to contribute ideas and insights.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a reputable university in the US, pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Effective communication, vision, and interpersonal skills, with detailed knowledge of methodology and tools, plus strong analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Strong understanding of software development fundamentals and principles.
• Good understanding of SOAP and REST APIs, including their principles, differences, and use cases.
• Knowledge of XML and JSON data formats commonly used in API interactions.
• Ability to work with API documentation and specifications to integrate systems effectively.
• Familiarity with authentication mechanisms such as OAuth and basic authentication for securing API endpoints.
• Proficiency in languages such as Java, JavaScript, XSLT, or similar.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Good understanding of agile methodologies, process, and change management tools and techniques (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, etc.).
• Experience working with Agile Project Management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and ITSM ticketing systems such as ServiceNow.
• Bilingual (English, Chinese) preferred.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams who are in global locations and varying time zones.
