About the position

The Business Application Specialist at The Arc Erie County plays a crucial role in ensuring that the organization's information systems are up-to-date and aligned with its strategic goals. This position involves acting as a liaison between business needs and system vendors, providing support for software applications, and troubleshooting system issues to maximize productivity and value from business tools and systems.

Responsibilities

• Act as a liaison between business needs and system vendors.
• Ensure business applications and modules are kept current and maintain updated procedural documentation.
• Provide end user and developer application support for assigned software.
• Troubleshoot, resolve, and document system issues.
• Generate data exports for various projects including internal and external requests for information.
• Maintain security policies within business system applications.
• Participate in staff training and attend regular meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field plus one year of related experience, or an Associate's degree in computer science or a related field plus three years of related experience.
• Understanding of software design and programming principles with experience as a subject matter expert for enterprise solutions.
• Strong experience and knowledge with PowerShell and SQL.
• Thorough knowledge of database tools and design such as MS SQL.
