About the position

The Relationship Manager at Citizens is responsible for developing and managing consultative relationships with small business clients, focusing on their financial goals and needs. This role involves collaborating with a team to provide tailored banking solutions, driving new customer relationships, and enhancing the overall customer experience. Responsibilities

  • Develop consultative relationships with small business clients in the target market with annual revenues ranging from $500,000 to $5 million.
  • Understand client needs and provide value-added solutions.
  • Manage a portfolio of existing customers and drive new commercial customer relationships.
  • Partner with the business banking team to offer a wide array of product solutions.
  • Complete Business Banking University and Drive Sales training during the initial orientation.
  • Maintain strong market knowledge and develop relationships with Centers of Influence such as CPAs and Attorneys.
  • Engage in community activities to expand the potential customer base.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • 2+ years in a Business Banking Relationship Manager role or related business lending experience preferred.
  • Business to Business sales experience required.
  • Motivated self-starter with demonstrated leadership ability and potential.
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, demanding sales culture with measured routines and goals.
  • Proficiency with portfolio/account management preferred.
  • Excellent communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Consistent record of sales and outside calling skills.
  • Ability to develop strong customer and colleague relationships.
