About the position

The SCUP Business Change Partner at AIG plays a crucial role in supporting the implementation of the Standard Commercial Underwriting Platform (SCUP). This position serves as the primary liaison between the SCUP Product organization and the business unit, ensuring alignment of requirements and designs, and driving the implementation of SCUP to achieve business benefits. The role involves managing business readiness activities, providing leadership guidance, and collaborating with stakeholders to develop solutions for business challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Act as key liaison between SCUP Product and Business during initial onboarding, requirements, and design alignment through to implementation stage.
  • Drive Business readiness activities prior to Business starting SCUP implementation.
  • Be the single point of contact and voice of the Business throughout SCUP implementation.
  • Cooperate with Business and IT leaders to drive enhancements of SCUP Product.
  • Support implementation of SCUP vision and roadmap aligned with SCUP North Star vision and business priorities.
  • Understand the key challenges that sponsors and key stakeholders face.
  • Provide leadership guidance, make recommendations, and collaborate with business to ensure solutions meet business needs on complex projects or programs.
  • Manage and provide program/project leadership over key business change efforts for the company.
  • Work with stakeholders from across the organization to develop solutions and ideas for identified business challenges.
  • Apply various solution development techniques through facilitated workshops and direct engagement sessions to transform processes, people, organizational design, roles, and technology.

Requirements

  • Ten plus years of relevant experience required including 5+ years experience in insurance commercial underwriting processes, data, controls, and technology.
  • Excited with change and has a successful track record in supporting change and transformation opportunities to enhance customer experience in complex environments.
  • Metric oriented, with a track record of delivering value add solutions, data driven decision maker who utilizes data to direct decision making.
  • Must be proactive in managing issues by anticipating the outcome of the process and ensuring all necessary steps have been taken.
  • Ability to influence and partner with internal and external stakeholders to deliver on Transformation and Continuous Improvement vision and objectives.
  • Experience working across functional, organizational and business boundaries, ensuring the entire process delivers the desired service level standard.
  • Demonstrated excellent problem solving abilities, in a practical way, to balance between addressing root cause and introducing changes in fast order.
  • Ability to analyze data, determine root cause, and provide and/or develop an appropriate solution for resolution.
