About the position

The Business Consultant at Rainbow Fleet Inc. is responsible for enhancing the quality and efficiency of licensed child care programs in the Oklahoma City Metro area. This role involves providing extensive support to child care centers and family child care homes through coaching and professional development, while also promoting the Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) services within the community.

Responsibilities

  • Promote CCR&R vision, mission, goals, and objectives.
  • Help child care programs and providers determine needs, develop objectives, identify funding, provide resources, implement strategies, and monitor progress made toward improving the quality of care.
  • Recruit child care providers for areas with minimal available care.
  • Keep child care providers informed about industry best practices, policies, training opportunities, and licensing regulation changes.
  • Provide Practice Based Coaching and Technical Assistance.
  • Promote accreditation and assist as needed.
  • Design and deliver professional development opportunities to adult learners.
  • Identify local child care training needs and work with staff to develop necessary training.
  • Stay informed about program resources and initiatives related to child care consultation services.
  • Assist with public awareness events and community outreach activities.
  • Communicate with legislators about issues affecting families and quality child care.
  • Assist child care administrators with understanding ratios, attendance, and enrollment.
  • Work with the Business Services Manager to develop and implement the Business Consultant Project and Thrive Network.
  • Provide training on the Shared Services platform and Brightwheel child care management software.
  • Develop a training and technical assistance plan for each participating child care provider.
  • Create tools, templates, and models to support child care programs.
  • Maintain a working relationship with the regional Ambassador for the SFCCN/Thrive Network.
  • Develop relationships with community partners.
  • Prepare and submit required reports and database entries.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Knowledge and experience in early care and education and/or child development.
  • Valid driver's license and proof of current insurance for travel.
  • Ability to organize and coordinate multiple projects with concurrent deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to maintain positive working relationships.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with adult education and training experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office for at least 1 year.
  • Analysis skills for at least 1 year.
