Business Continuity Manager

About the position

The Business Continuity Manager at American National Bank of Texas is responsible for the development, implementation, and administration of the Business Continuity Program and Plan. This role focuses on ensuring the bank's preparedness for significant events that could disrupt operations, overseeing the business continuity lifecycle, and coordinating training and exercises. The manager will interface with senior management and stakeholders to drive consistency and compliance across the organization while providing best-in-class customer service.

Responsibilities

• Support planning for and recovery from significant events impacting business operations.
• Develop, implement, and administer all aspects of the Bank's business continuity lifecycle.
• Coordinate regular cross-functional business continuity and disaster recovery response training exercises.
• Prepare annual Business Continuity briefings for the Board of Directors and quarterly briefings for the Executive Leadership Team.
• Review work, provide feedback, and coach internal stakeholders on business continuity capabilities.
• Align IT disaster recovery strategies with operational requirements to document mitigation strategies.
• Ensure Senior Management and the Board of Directors are informed of all aspects of the Bank's Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in risk management, business, finance, or related field.
• Seven or more years of banking experience in retail, operations, or business continuity and/or disaster recovery planning.
• Three or more years as a Business Continuity Senior Leader.

Nice-to-haves

• Business Continuity certification (e.g., Certified Business Continuity or Member, Business Continuity Institute).
• Experience working with cross-functional teams, including IT, leaders, and vendors.
