The Business Data Analyst position is a contract role based in Plano, TX, focusing on the banking sector, specifically within Capital Markets. The candidate will join a collaborative team comprising business analysts, developers, testers, and scrum masters. This role requires a strong background in Business Analysis and Requirements documentation, as the candidate will support solution development across various groups involved in the trade lifecycle, including Front Office, Middle Office, Finance Operations, Regulatory and Operational Compliance, and Risk Management (covering market, credit, capital, and liquidity risks). The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience delivering solutions for a range of financial instruments, including Interest Rate Derivatives, Foreign Exchange Derivatives, Futures, Bonds and Securities, Secured and Unsecured Money Market Instruments, and Loans. Additionally, the candidate should be familiar with working in an agile software development environment and have experience collaborating with teams located in diverse geographical areas. A solid understanding of balance sheets and income statements is also essential. The role demands proficiency in programming languages and frameworks such as Python, Java, and Angular2, as well as excellent communication skills to effectively engage with cross-functional teams. Candidates should possess a minimum of 8 years of experience in Business Analysis or Requirements documentation, along with at least 5 years of experience working directly with clients or stakeholder groups to identify problems and design effective solutions. A Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Financial Risk Manager (FRM) certification is preferred, along with experience in using Python for data analysis or modeling.
