About the position

The Business Data Analyst I (HR) at General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems is responsible for extracting insights from complex data to support business decisions and improve organizational efficiency. This role involves utilizing various data analysis techniques, including statistical methods and data visualization, to inform management and project teams. The analyst will work closely with stakeholders to understand business objectives and challenges, ensuring data accuracy and integrity while developing tools such as dashboards and reports.

Responsibilities

• Provides management and analysis of business data for data-driven decision making.
• Uses statistical methods and analytical methodologies to develop tools including dashboards and reports.
• Aggregates and performs statistical analysis on business data based on requests from project teams or senior leadership.
• Integrates data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
• Writes queries or reports for various analytical projects.
• Mines and analyzes internal and external data using KPIs and business results.
• Interprets data to identify business trends and suggest areas for process improvement.
• Develops a good understanding of the business's model and objectives by collaborating with users and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree and 0-3 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships and make decisions.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with business intelligence applications such as Looker, Power BI, and Tableau.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis and modeling techniques.
• Familiarity with ERP and CRM software like Oracle BI and SAP BusinessObjects.
