About the position

The Business Data Analyst at Seaboard Foods plays a crucial role in leveraging analytical platforms to support the company's strategic and tactical goals. This position involves developing, maintaining, and supporting data analytical systems that provide insights into business performance. The analyst will engage in the data developmental lifecycle, facilitate project meetings, and coordinate project tasks to foster a positive project culture and motivate team members.

Responsibilities

• Engage with cross-functional technical and product management teams to prioritize tasks and clarify tradeoffs.
• Manage project documentation and report on project status, backlog, and resources.
• Create, document, and support data visualizations from platforms like Tableau, Power BI, SSAS, and Cognos Analytics.
• Understand basic SQL syntax and data analysis principles for data visualization development.
• Strengthen relationships with IT and business owners to resolve data issues and ensure data availability and accuracy.
• Implement security policy best practices and review user access and structure setup.
• Assess new features and tools for supported BI platforms and review server performance.
• Analyze, test, and upgrade analytics tools annually to address system issues.
• Ensure data integrity and act as a subject matter expert on data-related questions.

Requirements

• Masters or Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Information Technology, or Computer Science.
• Applied knowledge of Agile methodology and engagement with business and IT members on project pipeline.
• 1-3 years of experience in Power BI.
• Ability to master data management and business intelligence integration and development.
• Strong communication and presentation skills to strategize with various levels of management.

Nice-to-haves

• 2+ years of experience in BI Development or related fields.
• Experience in Azure DevOps.
• Ability to manage complex data environments for seamless business reporting tools and KPIs.
• Demonstrated dynamic technical problem-solving skills.
