The Business Data Analyst position is a critical role within our organization, focusing on the Banking and Finance domain. The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of experience in data analysis, specifically within financial services. This role requires a deep understanding of current data processing and management practices across various operational processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and resolving data issues that impact both business and technology processes. In this position, you will be tasked with consolidating existing artifacts such as Data Models, Metadata, Data Quality Practices, and Master & Reference data use cases. You will also address Lineage Issues across each data flow cluster, ensuring that all data assets are accurately represented and utilized. A key part of your role will involve determining and identifying gaps in these artifacts, as well as analyzing the data services used in various application services. You will need to analyze the data elements within these services to ensure they meet business requirements. Additionally, you will assist in root cause analysis for any issues identified, documenting gaps in the existing artifacts. Your knowledge of requirements gathering, design methodology, and building functional test cases will be essential. You should be detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of investigating complex issues. As a liaison between business function stakeholders and technology teams, you will elicit, analyze, document, communicate, and validate requirements effectively. Understanding Tableau dashboard data slicing and dicing is crucial, as you will be expected to document business and risk data accurately.
