The analyst will develop and maintain interactive dashboards using Power BI, transition database solutions to SQL-based environments, and engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver insights. This position emphasizes continuous improvement in data processes and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI.
• Analyze complex data sets using SQL to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
• Transition database solutions from an Access-based environment to a SQL-based data mart.
• Design, develop, and maintain databases to support various reporting and analytical needs.
• Continuously improve existing databases to adapt to evolving business needs.
• Manage ad-hoc inquiries related to reporting, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
• Create comprehensive documentation of data processes, methodologies, and reports.
• Ensure timely and accurate distribution of canned and ad-hoc reports to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business requirements.
• Translate business needs into technical specifications for reporting and analytics solutions.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and deliver solutions that drive performance and efficiency.
• Provide training and support to team members on Power BI and data analysis best practices.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies in data collection, reporting, and analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business Operations, Finance, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in business analysis or a related role, with a strong emphasis on data analysis and reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI and SQL is essential; experience with other BI tools is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
• Advanced knowledge of data visualization best practices and techniques.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Benefits

• Contract position with hourly pay of $48 - $50.
