About the position

The Business Data and Reporting Analyst (Level 2) position at CUNY's Central Office Human Resources involves providing expert end-user support by accurately inputting, auditing, and reporting information in the CUNYfirst system. This role is essential for maintaining HR operations and procedures, ensuring data integrity, and assisting with various HR information systems projects. The position requires a strong attention to detail and confidentiality while serving as a point of contact for HR information system inquiries.

Responsibilities

  • Perform data entry into CUNYFirst for assigned full-time and part-time employees.
  • Generate reports and review CUNYFirst and Payroll data for auditing to assist with regular data correction.
  • Assist with managing Person-of-Interest (POI) data audits.
  • Assist with processing onboarding and offboarding documents as assigned.
  • Serve as a point of contact and as an HR information system expert to assist end users.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Possession of a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Demonstrated English language proficiency, including the ability to speak, read, write, and understand English well enough to meet minimally acceptable performance standards set for the job tasks.
  • One (1) year of related full-time experience utilizing PeopleSoft computer software technology.
  • Two (2) additional years of related full-time work experience utilizing PeopleSoft or related computer software technology.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with Peoplesoft or other Human Resources information system to compile data and perform data entry.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively while establishing priorities, managing deadlines, and project assignments.
  • Ability to be a problem-solver, taking a proactive approach when needed.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to details with a customer service focus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 such as Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook.
