About the position

The Business Developer at Southern Botanical is responsible for creating custom landscape designs, generating leads, closing sales, and managing client relationships to ensure satisfaction. This role combines a base salary with commission, allowing for competitive earnings based on sales performance. The ideal candidate should have a passion for landscaping, strong communication skills, and a proven sales track record.

Responsibilities

  • Identify own leads and respond to company-generated leads to develop accounts for new sales opportunities resulting in achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
  • Cultivate new sales prospects through the establishment, development and maintenance of partnerships with pool builders, landscape architects, general contractors, and other key industry contacts.
  • Build and nurture strong connections with clients and potential customers, cultivating a favorable company reputation and instilling trust and confidence among clients.
  • Develop and present custom landscape designs tailored to each client's requirements.
  • Provide accurate estimates and quotes for landscaping projects.
  • Interface between production and client with regards to quality control, scheduling, billing, and safety.
  • Maintain lasting client relationships, fostering growth and development.
  • Responsible for post-project follow-ups and improvements at 3 and 12-month intervals.
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in horticulture, landscape design or related field or equivalent work experience
  • 5 years field-related experience in landscape or green industry
  • 3 years sales experience
  • Office 365 experience required; Aspire knowledge or experience preferred
  • CRM experience preferred
  • Landscape design software experience preferred
  • Valid Driver's license
