About the position

The Business Development Account Manager at TrustPoint Hospital is responsible for growing service lines by developing and retaining referrals from physicians and other key non-physician sources. This role focuses on building strong relationships within the Davidson County/Nashville territory, providing education about the hospital's services, and ensuring an efficient admissions process for clients. The position requires frequent travel within the community and collaboration with various stakeholders to enhance the hospital's outreach and referral network.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with hospital discharge planners, social workers, case managers, and physicians to generate referral sources.
  • Develop strong relationships with key referral sources and identify new opportunities for growth.
  • Manage leads from referral sources and ensure an efficient admissions process for clients.
  • Document all activity in the company's Customer Relationship Manager (Salesforce).
  • Coordinate with the corporate Consumer Marketing team to utilize resources and implement best practices in brand development.
  • Educate patients, families, and community members about the programs and services offered by the facility.
  • Coordinate the completion of the admission process and ensure appropriate resources are obtained.
  • Travel frequently within the community to schedule meetings and develop contacts/referral sources.
  • Develop events and educational forums to demonstrate the organization's thought leadership and identify potential referral sources.
  • Utilize analytic tools, such as Salesforce, to plan and evaluate activities to optimize results.
  • Represent the facility in professional forums and communicate the mission in all outreach and interactions.
  • Create outreach initiatives to regularly communicate the facility's mission with referral sources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related health or social services field required.
  • Master's degree related to professional license for clinical assessment requirements of the role required.
  • Four or more years of related experience in a healthcare business development role required.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and automobile insurance coverage.
