About the position

The Business Development Analyst plays a crucial role within the LifeX Due Diligence Investment Team, focusing on investment opportunities and commercialization support for life sciences startups. This position involves managing the due diligence process, identifying funding opportunities, and collaborating with various stakeholders to drive growth in the life sciences sector.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the management of the due diligence process and prepare detailed packets for the investment committee.
• Participate in the development of new business by identifying funding opportunities and drafting programmatic budgets.
• Assist outside entities with due diligence as necessary.
• Seek potential investment opportunities for the LifeX Global organization and its Accelerator programs.
• Collaborate with LifeX Global entities to ensure funding opportunities are available across the commercialization continuum.
• Participate in LifeX Accelerator and Portfolio Meetings as required.
• Act as the point of contact for investor relationships internally and externally.
• Work with the LifeX executive management team on strategic planning and analysis for growth via investment vehicles.
• Gather data, organize information, analyze historical results, and generate forecasts and projections.
• Create Excel models, presentations, and reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in business development or investment management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other computer skills.
