About the position

The Business Development and Operations Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the VP of Operations and the management team with various business development, account management, and marketing initiatives. This part-time position involves creating customer presentations, managing data projects, organizing meetings, and assisting with new customer onboarding, all while maintaining a strong focus on data analytics and communication.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Management, primarily VP Operations, with business development activities.
  • Create customer presentations and manage internal and external data projects.
  • Prepare for customer meetings, including reserving training rooms and coordinating client demonstrations.
  • Organize emails and respond to important matters as needed.
  • Schedule meetings for the VP Operations and Management team.
  • Attend meetings and take notes, including 1:1 calls with new customer opportunities.
  • Create and edit reports as required.
  • Assist with new customer onboarding tasks.
  • Manage projects and assist with lead generation for Account Managers.
  • Create email blasts, lead lists, and analytics reports.

Requirements

  • Solid teamwork skills and adaptability to changes.
  • Ability to influence others and build consensus with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of three years of professional sales and/or administrative assistant experience.
  • Strong data analytics skills with prior experience in a business setting.
  • Minimum of one year experience in Human Resources, Payroll, or HCM.
  • Payroll Service Bureau experience is a plus.
  • Experience with HubSpot and/or NetSuite is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Human Resources, Payroll, or HCM is preferred.
  • Familiarity with payroll service bureau operations.
