About the position

The Business Development and Operations Assistant at Payroll Solutions plays a crucial role in supporting the VP of Operations and the management team with various business development, account management, and marketing initiatives. This part-time position focuses on data analytics, customer presentations, meeting preparations, and project management, ensuring effective communication and organization within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Management, primarily VP Operations, with business development activities.
  • Create customer presentations and manage internal and external data projects with a focus on analytics.
  • Prepare for customer meetings, including reserving training rooms and coordinating client demonstrations or trainings.
  • Organize emails and assist with responding to important matters as needed.
  • Manage scheduling for the VP Operations and Management team, including meeting arrangements.
  • Attend meetings and take notes, including 1:1 calls with new customer opportunities.
  • Create and edit reports as required.
  • Assist with new customer onboarding tasks.
  • Support project management activities.
  • Help with lead generation for Account Managers, including creating email campaigns and analytics reporting.

Requirements

  • Solid teamwork skills and adaptability to changes in situations or information.
  • Ability to influence others and build consensus using strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three years of professional sales and/or administrative assistant experience.
  • Strong data analytics skills with prior experience in a business setting.
  • Minimum of one year experience in Human Resources, Payroll, or Human Capital Management (HCM).
  • Experience with Payroll Service Bureau is a plus.
  • Familiarity with HubSpot and/or NetSuite is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Human Resources or Payroll services.
  • Familiarity with data analytics tools and techniques.
