About the position

The Business Development and Social Media Marketing Manager at an automotive dealership is responsible for driving business growth through strategic initiatives aimed at attracting new customers and retaining existing ones. This role encompasses overseeing the Business Development Center (BDC) and collaborating with sales and service teams to enhance customer satisfaction and dealership profitability. Additionally, the manager will implement the dealership's social media strategy to develop brand awareness, generate inbound traffic, and manage the dealership's online reputation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies to generate leads and drive traffic to the dealership.
  • Gather, analyze, build and maintain customer feedback and relationships to enhance loyalty and repeat business.
  • Oversee the BDC team, ensuring they effectively handle inbound and outbound calls, set appointments, and follow up with potential customers.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to provide them with qualified leads and support their efforts to close deals.
  • Work with the marketing team to create and implement campaigns that promote the dealership's services and special offers.
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of business development activities, providing reports and insights to senior management.
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
  • Develop and execute the dealership's social media strategy.
  • Enhance brand visibility and engagement across social media platforms.
  • Create, curate, and manage published content across social channels.
  • Engage with customers and potential customers on social media platforms, responding to comments and inquiries.
  • Monitor and manage the dealership's online reputation, addressing any issues or negative feedback promptly.
  • Analyze social media campaigns' performance and provide reports to measure success and areas for improvement.
  • Provide training and support to the BDC team to ensure they are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to perform their roles effectively.
  • Stay updated on social media trends, tools, and applications to ensure the dealership remains competitive.
  • Organize and promote dealership events on social media.
  • Work with sales and service teams to gather information on promotions and customer goals.
  • Identify and address potential social media crises effectively.

Requirements

  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in social media marketing, preferably within the automotive industry.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms and tools.
  • Ability to analyze data and generate insights.
