About the position
The Business Development Associate Internship at Cogent is a paid opportunity designed for creative and hardworking individuals eager to gain hands-on experience in sales and marketing. The intern will work collaboratively with teams to enhance the company's brand, communications, and sales strategy through research and content creation. Reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer, the ideal candidate will engage in high-impact projects and contribute to marketing campaigns that align with the company's strategic goals.
Responsibilities
- Support teams to plan, develop, and execute marketing initiatives
- Complete projects related to branding, content creation, and social media marketing
- Assist management with the preparation of campaigns and reports
- Handle inbound requests from vendors, partners, customers, and clients
- Perform competitive market analysis to identify areas of opportunity
- Attend company in-person and virtual marketing events
- Follow up on leads and other sales-related activities
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of sales and marketing experience
- Experience in selling IT technology services background is highly desired
- Organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Sense of teamwork and the ability to execute programs
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated and hardworking
- Proficient in using CRM software, MS Office, HubSpot, LinkedIn, and other sales tools to track leads, manage accounts, and generate reports
