About the position

Azimuth Corporation is seeking a talented Business Development Capture Professional to join our home office team in Beavercreek, OH. The ideal candidate is motivated by exploring new aspects of business operations and process improvement while supporting continued business growth by developing winning proposals. This role is crucial in ensuring that the company remains competitive and successful in securing contracts with the federal government. The Business Development Capture Professional will be responsible for conducting thorough research on assigned opportunities to gather accurate budget information, understand the incumbent landscape, gain market and customer insights, and identify potential partners. In addition to research, the professional will review and analyze solicitations such as Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and Requests for Quotes (RFQs). They will support various proposal development activities, which include formatting resumes, conducting compliance reviews, and coordinating with teaming partners to ensure that all proposals are compelling and meet the necessary requirements. The role also involves leveraging existing federal business development resources, including SAM, usaspending.gov, and FPDS, to conduct research and gather relevant data. The Business Development Capture Professional will be responsible for maintaining the growth pipeline, ensuring that all data is accurate and up-to-date. They will represent the company's interests in meetings and off-site events, showcasing the company's capabilities and building relationships with potential clients and partners. Additionally, the professional will assist with talent acquisition campaigns for active programs, which includes engaging candidates, conducting interviews, and sourcing talent for proposal development.

Responsibilities

  • Performing research on assigned opportunities to gain accurate budget, incumbent information, market/customer insights, potential partners, etc.
  • Reviewing and analyzing solicitations (RFP, RFI, RFQ, etc.).
  • Supporting various proposal development activities, such as resume formatting, compliance reviews, and coordination with teaming partners.
  • Conducting research leveraging existing federal business development resources (SAM, usaspending.gov, FPDS, etc.), reference material, literature, media, and other PAI.
  • Responsible for the daily maintenance, updates, and data integrity of growth pipeline.
  • Independently representing the interest of the company in meetings and off-site events.
  • Assisting with talent acquisition campaigns for active programs, as well as proposal development (to include candidate engagement, interviews, sourcing, etc.).

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent and 5 years of DOD Business Development experience.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently organize work, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple and changing priorities.
  • Proven ability to provide research and analysis of contract data, opportunities, and acquisition forecasts.
  • Experience manipulating large, complex data sets into manageable reports.
  • Familiarity with tools such as SAM.gov, GovWin, GovTribe, HigherGov, APFS, FPDS, Federal Compass, and other agency forecast websites.
  • Proficiency in integrated business management and CRM software.
