About the position

Del Amo Behavioral Health System, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services (UHS), is seeking a full-time Business Development/Community Liaison. This position is crucial in fostering relationships with referral sources and ensuring that the needs of these sources are met effectively. The role involves exploring new referral opportunities while maintaining existing relationships with hospitals, group homes, board and care facilities, and independent living facilities. The Business Development Liaison will be responsible for understanding the admission criteria for various programs and providing necessary information to referral sources regarding services offered by Del Amo Hospital. This includes addressing inquiries about admission criteria, costs, payment methods, and facilitating tours and conferences. In addition to liaison services, the position requires the development of promotional materials and marketing activities to enhance the visibility of the hospital's services. The Liaison will actively participate in marketing efforts, including providing input for advertising copy, coordinating print ads, and managing media requests. Regular attendance at business and referral development team meetings is expected, along with the submission of weekly sales call reports and monthly activity schedules. The Liaison will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records and statistics related to marketing activities and referral sources, ensuring that all reports are submitted in a timely manner. Responsibilities

  • Explore and develop new referral sources while maintaining existing relationships.
  • Provide liaison services between Del Amo Hospital and referral sources to meet their needs.
  • Understand and communicate admission criteria for all programs offered by Del Amo Hospital.
  • Follow up on admissions and account activity, problem-solving as necessary.
  • Evaluate account status and achieve marketing goals flexibly as circumstances dictate.
  • Monitor competitor information and services to stay informed about the market.
  • Assist in the development of promotional materials and marketing activities.
  • Provide input on advertising copy and coordinate print ads and direct mail pieces.
  • Meet marketing contact goals and objectives as identified with the supervisor.
  • Participate in business/referral development team meetings and submit weekly sales call reports.
  • Maintain records, reports, and statistics related to marketing activities.

Requirements

  • Experience in business development or marketing within the healthcare sector.
  • Knowledge of the mental health community and admission criteria for various programs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with referral sources.
  • Ability to evaluate account status and adapt strategies as needed.
