About the position

Marlin Gas Services is seeking a Business Development and Compliance Manager to join our team in Spring Hill, Florida. This role is pivotal in driving the growth of our market territory throughout Chesapeake service areas and adjacent regions. The successful candidate will be responsible for prospecting, acquiring, and maintaining new customers while developing comprehensive project plans and strategies for the successful execution of mobile natural gas projects. This includes defining project scopes, budgeting, ensuring compliance, scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management. In this position, you will develop, negotiate, and execute service agreements for mobile natural gas solutions, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty. Building strong relationships with key accounts is essential, as is maintaining a high level of service and client loyalty. You will also implement and monitor documentation to meet regulatory compliance requirements and produce necessary documentation to support compliance audits. Your role will involve recommending solutions that best fit customer requirements, providing complete customer quotes efficiently, and developing pricing models for mobile natural gas projects. Collaboration with the operations team is crucial to determine optimal pricing for services provided. You will manage relationships with vendors and suppliers involved in natural gas mobile solutions projects, including procurement, contract negotiation, performance evaluation, and issue resolution. Additionally, you will establish and maintain quality control processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality mobile natural gas projects, coordinate inspections and audits, and ensure all projects adhere to legal requirements and industry best practices. You will also collaborate with strategic communications, regulatory, sales, and marketing teams to develop programs and support materials to grow the business, while providing sales forecasts and allocating resources to meet sales targets.

Responsibilities

  • Increase Company market territory throughout Chesapeake service areas and other adjacent areas.
  • Prospect, acquire, and maintain new customers.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans and strategies for mobile natural gas projects, including scope definition, budgeting, compliance, scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management.
  • Develop, negotiate, and execute mobile natural gas solutions service agreements and strategies to ensure customer satisfaction, loyalty, market growth, and value-added strategy initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships with key accounts to maintain a high level of service and client loyalty.
  • Implement and monitor documentation for compliance to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Produce documentation necessary to support compliance audits.
  • Recommend solutions that best fit customer requirements, present and future needs.
  • Provide complete customer quotes in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Develop pricing models for mobile natural gas projects and collaborate with the operations team to determine optimum pricing of services provided.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum five years' experience in natural gas utility and business development.
  • Minimum five years in natural gas utility with advanced knowledge of gas transportation protocols, business practices, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Strong analytical, oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and exercise sound judgment.
  • Valid Driver's License.
