About the position

Vantage Data Centers is seeking a highly organized and proactive Business Development Coordinator to support the Energy Team in managing and coordinating various projects related to data center developments. This role involves assisting with site due diligence, utility agreements, budgeting, and scheduling for new major projects, while ensuring effective communication with internal departments and vendor partners. The position is crucial for driving projects from inception to operations, contributing to the company's growth in the energy sector.

Responsibilities

  • Manage submittals and change orders for projects.
  • Coordinate meetings and administer project reports and contracts.
  • Support site selection and budgeting efforts.
  • Participate in design development and transition close-out documentation to construction teams.
  • Assist with onboarding vendors and managing contracts.
  • Process purchase orders and track invoices for project closeout documentation.
  • Maintain project documentation, reports, budgets, schedules, and presentations.
  • Conduct utility rate research to support power planning efforts.
  • Track project progress, identify risks, and assist in mitigation processes.
  • Communicate regularly with project stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and internal teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in project coordination, business development, or a similar role, ideally within the energy or utility sector.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in vendor management, budgeting, and scheduling is highly preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and proactive problem-solving abilities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the energy or utility sector is a plus.
  • Familiarity with project management software tools.
