About the position

The Business Development Coordinator (BD Coordinator) at Principle Choice Solutions LLC plays a crucial role in supporting the full life-cycle growth activities of the organization, which includes business development, capture, and proposal management. This position requires a strong understanding of the federal sales cycle and familiarity with federal contracting research tools such as GovWin. The BD Coordinator must possess analytical, process, and knowledge management skills to effectively engage with colleagues, executive management, and key stakeholders, ensuring clear communication both verbally and in writing. In this role, the BD Coordinator is responsible for producing final versions of proposals and applications for client consideration. The complexity of these proposals can vary, often requiring multiple annexes and graphics, and they are created using various software programs including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Adobe Acrobat. The BD Coordinator is an integral part of the proposal development team, ensuring that all submissions meet the highest quality standards and are formatted correctly for publication. Additionally, the BD Coordinator handles general administrative tasks within the Business Development Department, such as processing consultant agreements, teaming agreements, and Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), as well as tracking pipeline reports. This position reports to the Head of Business Development and interacts regularly with various departments including technical divisions, business operations, finance, contracts, human resources, communications, and the CEO.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Business Development, capture managers, program managers, and other leaders to enhance win strategies.
  • Support PCS Executives in creating impactful solutions for strategic project/program objectives.
  • Participate in business planning activities, including scheduling and facilitating BD presentations such as pipeline reviews and gate reviews.
  • Assist the Head of Business Development in pipeline updates and opportunity reviews.
  • Conduct teaming analysis and scope definition, competitive intelligence assessments, and collaborate on marketing materials and white papers.
  • Maintain organized files of proposal documents and a library of proposals, opportunities, and teaming documents.
  • Attend business development meetings and record proceedings.
  • Review and process teaming agreements, NDAs, and consultant agreements as needed.
  • Support proposal efforts by organizing, filing, reviewing, editing, and formatting resumes for proposals.
  • Research customer agencies, opportunities, competitors, and industry contacts.
  • Read and analyze solicitation requirements to develop Go/No Go bid decisions, requirement matrices, and Project Management Plans as needed.
  • Submit proposals through appropriate Government processes and/or portals.

Requirements

  • BA in English, History, Journalism, or a related field is preferred; experience in lieu of education can be considered.
  • Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills.
  • Strong document layout and production skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Expertise with document production software (Adobe) and MS Office and Office 365: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and customer service communication skills.
  • Federal contracting experience preferred.
  • High-level commitment, motivation, energy, team orientation, professionalism, trust, personal honesty and integrity.

Nice-to-haves

  • At least one year of work experience preferably in an office environment.
  • Working knowledge of federal contracting and procurement processes.
  • Familiarity with the proposal process and creation for Government Contractors.
  • Experience using SharePoint.
  • Innate self-motivation and desire for ongoing learning and personal development.
  • Strong teamwork skills and ability to perform effectively under tight deadlines.
