About the position

The Business Development Director - AEC is responsible for driving growth by assisting new and existing clients with their capital project needs. This role involves generating new clients, supporting existing ones, and actively participating in marketing activities. The director will lead national growth opportunities in specific markets, maintain relationships with various organizations, and represent the company at industry events.

Responsibilities

  • Leading and supporting national growth opportunities in the Food and Beverage, Manufacturing, and Consumer Products markets
  • Communicating regularly with Regional Office leadership, other Business Development Leads, and Project Managers
  • Conducting appropriate research to identify target companies/organizations within industry segments
  • Contacting, qualifying and setting appointments with targets via telephone and electronic means
  • Providing targets with appropriate Haskell marketing material and responses to specific interests
  • Visiting qualified targets and/or arranging for personal sales calls by appropriate Haskell personnel
  • Preparing qualifications statements and assisting in preparing responses to proposals for specific projects
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with local and national civic, professional, and economic organizations
  • Maintaining up-to-date prospect files and electronic databases
  • Developing and managing a public relations program to include marketing and customer outreach
  • Representing Haskell at trade shows, conventions, and professional meetings
  • Attracting, recruiting, developing, training, and retaining high-caliber talent

Requirements

  • Minimum of a 4-year college degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering, construction marketing, or a related field
  • Excellent communication, organization, and follow-up skills
  • Excellent sales and customer relationship skills
  • Ability to understand and execute the company vision and values of Team, Excellence, Service, and Trust
