About the position

The Business Development Director at Arrow Global Supply Chain Services will lead account management and business development initiatives for major automotive companies. This role focuses on optimizing supply chain solutions and maximizing profits through strategic sales efforts and relationship management within complex organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Establish a funnel of opportunities with customers and suppliers to optimize the flow of goods.
  • Articulate the status of opportunities and identify their size and scope.
  • Understand client needs and decision-making hierarchies to validate customer requirements.
  • Lead strategic account planning processes to manage performance objectives and financial targets.
  • Sell value-added, long-term solutions and expand sales within the client's organization.
  • Direct cross-functional teams to meet account objectives and client expectations.
  • Deliver compelling value-based proposals to C-level decision makers.
  • Utilize relationships within the distribution and supplier community to grow sales.
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers' account managers to service OEM clients effectively.
  • Develop relationships with key personnel in various departments at client organizations to uncover additional opportunities.
  • Plan and manage RFQ processes, ensuring compliance with Arrow guidelines.
  • Participate in the review and negotiation of significant contracts.
  • Understand Arrow's market share and competitors' positions within accounts.
  • Execute account strategies to meet or exceed business objectives and targets.
  • Articulate client needs and industry trends to Arrow leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or equivalent.
  • 10-12 years of experience in Tier 1 and OEM Strategic Account Sales in relevant industries.
  • Experience selling to Top 100 global companies.
  • Thorough knowledge of electronic components distribution and global supply chain industries.
  • Strong existing relationships within the industry.
  • Expert consultative sales skills and ability to convert leads into opportunities.
  • Ability to work with a team to develop customized solutions.
  • Deep knowledge of multi-national automotive, semiconductor, and consumer accounts.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%.
