About the position

The Business Development Director will oversee the Sales & Service Business Development Center for a large dealership group in Kentucky. This role focuses on managing a team, enhancing sales performance, generating leads, and improving customer relationship management. The director will be responsible for strategic decision-making based on performance analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Team Management - Hiring, training and coaching BDC Managers and Representatives to ensure high-quality customer interactions and optimal appointment scheduling.
  • Sales Performance Monitoring - Tracking key metrics including lead conversion rates, appointment scheduling success, and overall sales performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Lead Generation - Implement strategies to generate new leads through online marketing, email campaigns, and other outreach methods.
  • Customer Relationship Management - Ensure proper follow-up with leads and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Reporting & Analysis - Generate and track reports on BDC performance, identify trends, and present data to corporate to recommend strategic decisions.
  • Process Improvement - Identify areas of improvement to optimize BDC workflows, call scripts, and communication strategies to enhance efficiency.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in a Director/Management position overseeing staff at multiple locations - BDC setting preferred.
  • Experience developing and tracking in-depth financial analysis reports to support business strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to quickly build trust and establish credibility.
  • Experience developing customer-centric strategies to generate revenue and strengthen brands.
  • Training and coaching background with proven success.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with evolving products.
  • Strong work ethic with a strategic mindset and ability to adapt to requested schedules as needed.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a BDC setting preferred.
  • Willingness to travel 50%.
