About the position

The Business Development Director at GEODIS is responsible for driving sales and marketing strategies within the healthcare logistics sector. This role involves developing and implementing training programs, meeting sales performance goals, and expanding the customer base while ensuring efficient workflow across departments. The director will work closely with cross-functional teams to prepare pricing and solutions, and will play a key role in the overall organizational strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, coordinate, and implement training programs for the campus.
  • Meet or exceed new sales performance goals and objectives.
  • Produce new customer business and maintain/expand the current profitable customer base.
  • Organize, plan, execute, and produce the sales and marketing function of warehousing and domestic transportation services.
  • Work with a cross-functional team in preparing pricing and solutions.
  • Interface Sales and Marketing information with Operations/Customer Service/Project Management departments to ensure an efficient workflow.
  • Provide marketing and competitive information as a key member of the sales team.
  • Travel up to 50% as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business/Logistics or related area of study from a 4-year college or university.
  • Minimum 7 years experience as a sales executive in Third-Party Logistics (3PL) or equivalent education and training.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Contract Logistics or Warehouse industry.
  • Record of excellent sales performance results in the applicable market.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
  • Ability to work with internal groups to solve problems on behalf of customers and prospects.
  • Ability to negotiate profitable partner relationships (contracts) with regional and national logistics clients.
