About the position

The Business Development Director at RSM Managed Security Services is responsible for driving sales in the area of Managed Security Services, focusing on professional services such as Security Management, Vulnerability Management, Managed Endpoint, Managed Compliance, and Identity Management. This role involves leading the sales process, developing sales strategies, and collaborating with various teams to secure business opportunities. The position requires a strong background in IT managed services and infrastructure solutions, with a focus on building and maintaining a robust sales pipeline.

Responsibilities

  • Sourcing and qualifying IT security managed services opportunities with companies currently not served by the firm
  • Executing the sales plan and process, coordinating necessary internal and external resources
  • Working with the Practice Leader and Pre-Sales Solution Consultants to demonstrate core IT security solutions
  • Actively networking and engaging with professional affiliations and industry groups
  • Identifying and targeting key companies within supported industry teams
  • Supporting cross-selling of additional services to existing clients
  • Collaborating with marketing resources to develop targeted go-to-market plans
  • Providing ongoing feedback to National Sales Organization management regarding market opportunities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience selling IT Security Services
  • Specific experience in Healthcare, Financial Services, or CPG industries
  • Expertise in driving complex sales cycles from identification to closing
  • Ability to orchestrate a team of experts to craft compelling solutions
  • Experience in proposal and Statement of Work creation
  • Proficiency in leveraging CRM tools for sales tracking
  • Strong influence and negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated with strong time management skills
