About the position

The Business Development Director is a key individual contributor responsible for identifying and developing business opportunities, building relationships, and understanding customer strategies within assigned accounts. This role involves collaborating with subject matter experts to create and implement solutions that align with customer objectives, ultimately driving measurable results for clients. The position is hybrid, requiring presence in the Morristown, NJ office unless in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Identify potential business opportunities within assigned accounts.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in Fortune 1000 companies.
  • Understand and analyze customer business strategies to tailor solutions accordingly.
  • Collaborate with a team of subject matter experts to create and execute effective solutions.
  • Drive new business development by prospecting and growing revenue in large accounts.
  • Manage a sales cycle that can range from three to twelve months.
  • Achieve sales targets through a commission-based compensation structure.

Requirements

  • Minimum seven years of direct B2B sales experience with Fortune 1000 companies.
  • Proven track record of new business development in marketing solutions or professional services.
  • Experience in large volume sales, with individual sales exceeding $250k.
  • Ability to navigate various sales cycles ranging from three to twelve months.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with web, SaaS, and mobile applications is a plus.
  • A four-year college degree is preferred.

  • Experience in behavioral economics as it relates to employee engagement and motivation.
  • Familiarity with performance management reward programs.
