About the position

The Business Development Director (BDD) is responsible for driving sales results through prospecting new business, managing sales leads, and closing sales for telemedicine services. This role involves leading business acquisition with healthcare partners, managing the full sales cycle, and serving as the main point of contact for communication and presentations with prospects. The BDD will also participate in developing health system expansion strategies and contribute to the company's sales and business development tactics.

Responsibilities

  • Drive targeted sales results through prospecting new business and managing sales leads.
  • Close sales for telemedicine services and manage the full sales cycle.
  • Cultivate relationships with hospital clients and provide support during the sales process.
  • Attend national and regional tradeshows to generate leads and manage booth activities.
  • Solicit and respond to RFPs, service contract adjustments, and contract renewals.
  • Develop and administer effective sales tools in collaboration with the marketing team.
  • Identify prospects for services and establish sales objectives by forecasting new service locations.
  • Prepare and present individual and regional sales results and KPIs on a regular basis.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5-7 years of business development or sales experience required.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare environment preferred, ideally in telemedicine.
  • Knowledge of CRM and databases for tracking leads and sales activities.
  • Ability to elicit customer buy-in at all stages of the sales cycle.
  • Experience with sales and negotiation processes to close high-value contracts.
  • Strong communication skills for effective presentations and consultations.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-growth environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Health system or hospital administration experience, or nursing background.
  • Financial/ROI acumen is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in public speaking and meeting facilitation.
