About the position

The Business Development Lead on the Pharmacy Clinical Strategy Team at Cigna Healthcare is responsible for shaping pharmacy clinical programs and products. This role involves driving product ideation, developing go-to-market strategies, and leading initiatives focused on pharmacy clinical programs, formulary, and utilization management solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmacy benefit management (PBM) and will work closely with various internal and external stakeholders to enhance product design and deliver impactful solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Key leader on Pharmacy Product, Clinical Strategy team
  • Provide leadership as a resource on clinical product strategy for clinical programs, formulary, and utilization management
  • Develop strong relationships across multiple functional areas
  • Manage a portfolio of pharmacy product development projects
  • Finalize product development concepts and articulate project scope and approach
  • Develop product positioning, launch, and communication strategy
  • Drive executive level understanding and excitement for new product offerings
  • Lead product development project team and manage project scope and budget
  • Update executive leadership on project progress
  • Provide functional level education, training, and support
  • Champion new product offerings during development and launch
  • Assist with identification and prioritization of new product development opportunities
  • Contribute to pharmacy product team best practices for continuous improvement

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in product development, finance, business development, or operations
  • Working knowledge of pharmacy benefit providers
  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
  • Excellent presentation skills to leaders
  • Demonstrated ability to work with remote personnel
  • Demonstrated decision-making capability
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 8+ years' experience in health care product management, with a preference for Pharmacy Product Management / PBM experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong financial, analytical, quantitative, and interpersonal skills
  • Comfort with complex systems and processes
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently
  • Ability to execute on multiple projects in a results-oriented environment
