About the position

The Business Development Manager (BDM) for Access Control and Intrusion at Bosch Security Systems will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategy, sales, and marketing initiatives aimed at fostering new and existing relationships with end users in the North American market. This position is designed for a dynamic individual who can maintain a robust pipeline of prospects and opportunities, thereby accelerating growth in this competitive sector. The BDM will be responsible for managing Corporate Accounts while also seeking out new business opportunities, making it essential to have a significant network of contacts within the industry, including end users, consultants, architects, and engineers. In this role, the BDM will develop comprehensive strategies and action plans to influence the specification and purchase of Bosch Security Systems' product offerings. This includes identifying and qualifying target clients based on their business potential and industry influence. The BDM will generate, follow up on, and win project leads across various markets, leveraging the integrator channel for the installation and support of end user deployments. Participation in industry and trade association meetings will be crucial, as will supporting public relations activities to enhance the company's visibility and reputation. The BDM will also be tasked with prospecting potential architects, engineers, consultants, and decision-makers, coordinating and presenting technical and commercial solutions to these stakeholders. Gathering and providing feedback on customer product requirements, market trends, and end-user needs to internal stakeholders will be a key responsibility, ensuring that Bosch Security Systems remains responsive to market demands. Additionally, the BDM will manage contacts, prospects, opportunities, and projects using the Bosch Security Systems approved CRM system, ensuring that all interactions are documented and tracked effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of strategy, sales, and marketing activities for Access Control and Intrusion solutions.
  • Maintain a pipeline of prospects and opportunities to accelerate growth in the North American market.
  • Manage Corporate Accounts and solicit new business opportunities.
  • Develop strategies and action plans to influence the specification and purchase of Bosch Security Systems products.
  • Identify, qualify, and develop target clients based on business potential and industry influence.
  • Generate, follow-up, and win project leads across all markets.
  • Leverage the integrator channel for installation and support of end user deployments.
  • Attend industry and trade association meetings and support PR activities.
  • Prospect potential architects, engineers, consultants, and decision-makers.
  • Coordinate, present, discuss, and follow up on technical/commercial solutions with prospects and decision-makers.
  • Gather and provide feedback on customer product requirements, market trends, and customer/end-user needs to internal stakeholders.
  • Manage contacts, prospects, opportunities, and projects via the Bosch Security Systems approved CRM system.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma is required.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field, marketing, management, or related field is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of security industry (Access/Intrusion) experience, preferably from the manufacturer level, is required.
  • 3+ years' experience in business development with demonstrated success in security products is required.
  • Knowledge of access control and intrusion product technology integrations is preferred.
  • Working knowledge and experience in the design and installation of security IP/IT products.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are a must.
  • Strong presentation skills are essential.
  • Demonstrated strong organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Industry affiliations and certifications are a plus.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with others.
  • Ability to overcome obstacles; be resourceful, action-oriented, and tenacious.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Willingness to travel up to 70% within the geographic region is required.
