About the position

The Business Development Manager (BDM) for the Central Region at Allsteel Inc. is responsible for driving sales and establishing strong relationships within the commercial real estate sector. This role focuses on identifying key contracts, educating stakeholders about Allsteel's offerings, and achieving sales goals through strategic networking and relationship management.

Responsibilities

• Identify and gain specifications with key commercial real estate contracts.
• Establish strong relationships with major brokers and project managers.
• Educate and demonstrate the value of Allsteel Commercial Real Estate contracts to end-users, dealers, architects, and designers.
• Engage in networking events to identify key partners, influencers, specifiers, and end users.
• Achieve and exceed revenue, profitability, and product mix sales goals.
• Develop business plans with management and CRE leads for strategic sales objectives.
• Conduct regular training sessions with dealer sales teams.
• Facilitate presentations for prospective clients.
• Complete sales activity and opportunity reports, sales order paperwork, and installation assistance.
• Lead strategic business and forecast discussions with dealer principles.
• Maintain a strong understanding of all HNI's products and consulting services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
• 3-5 years' experience in a consultative sales environment required.
• Proven connections and network within the Real Estate community in the assigned territory.
• Experience in the furniture or related industry (interiors) preferred.
