About the position

The Business Development Manager will lead the business development efforts for White Construction in the Houston market, focusing on expanding the company's market share. This role requires a strong background in the construction industry and involves building and maintaining relationships with various stakeholders, including owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors. The position is integral to the company's growth strategy and involves both relationship management and marketing responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead business development efforts in the Houston market.
• Establish and maintain relationships with potential and current clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Conduct market research to support Market Sector Leaders (MSLs) in developing and executing plans.
• Assist in creating and implementing Relationship Management Goals & Objectives.
• Identify potential opportunities in public and private sectors and follow through with strategies.
• Participate in Relationship Management meetings to discuss target clients and projects.
• Utilize Client Relationship Management (CRM) tools to manage relationships and opportunities.
• Develop competitor analysis to understand market positioning.
• Assist in responding to requests for proposals and qualifications.
• Contribute to the development of marketing content for social media and internal/external communications.

Requirements

• Experience in the construction industry is required.
• Strong relationship management skills.
• Ability to conduct market research and analysis.
• Experience with Client Relationship Management (CRM) tools.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
