About the position

The Business Development Manager for Data Center & Semiconductor at Siemens is responsible for developing the Medium Voltage product portfolio and supporting the US sales force. This remote position focuses on driving profitable sales growth through technical specifications and account influence, while also engaging with clients during the sales and execution phases. The role requires collaboration with various stakeholders to meet annual targets and enhance market effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the Medium Voltage product portfolio for Data Center and semiconductor verticals.
  • Support the US sales force as a liaison to enhance sales efforts.
  • Drive profitable sales growth by emphasizing technical specifications and account influence.
  • Plan and create demand for products, influencing specifications and target penetration.
  • Manage promotions, collaboration, budget proposals, and opportunity management.
  • Provide training and accurate forecasting for projects in the pipeline.
  • Engage with clients during the sales and execution phases to ensure satisfaction and success.
  • Assist in setting up annual vertical targets based on market dynamics and help meet those targets.
  • Serve as a liaison for Sales Account Managers, Channel agents, and others leading End Users, Electrical Contractors, and EPC firms.
  • Provide marketing advice and leadership to enhance overall market effectiveness.
  • Develop account development plans including market analysis and strategic objectives.
  • Manage technical support for customers regarding product integration into power supply systems.
  • Support prequalification processes at Key and Focus Accounts.
  • Assist with various project management activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • 5+ years of business development / technical sales experience in the Data center and semiconductor verticals.
  • Driven product knowledge of Medium Voltage Switchgear.
  • 3+ years of experience with Medium Voltage power electrical distribution systems.
  • Basic knowledge of ANSI - NEMA standards.
  • Ability to travel 50-75% of the time, including some international travel.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Master's in Business Administration.
  • Knowledge of IEC and IEEE standards.
  • Fluent in Spanish.
