The Business Development Manager (BDM) at Nucor Insulated Panel Group will play a pivotal role in leading market development activities across the DC Metro Area, including Kentucky, Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia. This position is primarily focused on promoting insulated panels to a diverse clientele, including architects, designers, engineers, and owners. The BDM will be responsible for direct engagement with architectural and engineering firms, as well as design-build firms, to drive the adoption of NIPG products. This role requires a proactive approach to market research and the creation of targeted activities that align with the company's growth initiatives, ensuring that NIPG brands are effectively represented in the market. The BDM will conduct educational sessions, known as lunch and learns, with the targeted customer base to enhance product knowledge and foster relationships. Additionally, the role involves attending and presenting NIPG products at various local, regional, and national tradeshows, as well as at CSI/AIA events. The BDM will travel within the assigned geographic markets to develop basis of design specifications and will be responsible for following up on all leads generated through marketing efforts. This position also supports pipeline management activities using Microsoft Dynamics CRM and maintains active communication with the sales teams of NIPG brands. Upholding the highest standards of service through professional and responsive communication is essential, as is the ability to collect and communicate market intelligence and trends. The BDM must thrive in a competitive atmosphere and maintain a strong focus on customer support and education.
