About the position

The Business Development Manager for EA Customer Services at Siemens is responsible for leading sales initiatives to achieve bookings quotas within the Electrification & Automation sector. This role focuses on selling field service and modernization solutions to various industrial, utility, and commercial markets in the South Central region of the United States. The position is remote and requires proactive engagement with customers to influence specifications and drive acceptance of Siemens' products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, pursue, and capture new business in all key market segments within the regional territory.
  • Engage early with target customers to influence their technical specifications and drive acceptance of products and service solutions.
  • Demonstrate ownership of target accounts in collaboration with Siemens sales and business development channels.
  • Proactively plan market penetration and customer activity on target accounts.
  • Collaborate internally and externally to up-sell service solutions.
  • Develop and execute a strategic plan for bookings and present the sales pipeline to management monthly via CRM tool.
  • Maintain clean forecasting of opportunity pipeline within the CRM tool.
  • Hunt for service sales leads and assist in ensuring accurate commercial proposals.
  • Provide customer presentations and promote the full-service portfolio.
  • Conduct power distribution site walks to identify and develop opportunities for the service portfolio.
  • Drive demand generation for service portfolio on active projects without service scope by engaging with project management and sales.
  • Support Product Life-Cycle Management process in developing future products and solutions.
  • Train and support customers and Siemens sales channels on the SI EA CS portfolio.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of sales or business development experience in selling industrial equipment services or power distribution equipment.
  • 2+ years of experience in account management, forecasting, sales process management, and successful quota attainment in a complex sales environment across multiple product lines.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or business.
  • Ability to travel 40% of the time domestically as required.
