About the position

The Business Development Manager - Electrical Power Systems is responsible for driving sales and developing relationships with customers in the electrical automation control sector. This role involves understanding customer needs, providing quotations, negotiating terms, and supporting project managers and engineers to enhance productivity through innovative solutions. The position requires significant travel and strong communication skills to effectively manage accounts and foster growth within the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain relationships with new/existing customers within assigned territory to better understand and achieve their needs
  • Make visits to customers to identify opportunities for growth within our platform
  • Provide quotations containing terms and conditions to customers
  • Negotiate cost, timeline, technical specifications, etc., and provide consultation as needed
  • Utilize various communication methods (Phone, Email, Onsite visitation)
  • Establish sales strategy plan analyzing account history for future forecasting activities and performance improvement
  • Prepare presentation materials for sales meetings and demonstrations with customers
  • Follow up with customers for any preventative/emergency maintenance service/replacement parts requests
  • Support onsite engineers and project managers for product assessment and feedback, and suggest new technology/solutions for improvement in their productivity
  • Monitor production progress on customer's order for status update communication and avoid any delays
  • Create sales reports by using SAP and the company's system and report to Direct Managers periodically
  • Maintain all records and documentation for system update/data entry in a timely manner
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
  • At least 5 years of electrical automation control system/power distribution control systems sales experience
  • Account Management/Business Development experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and SAP ERP
  • Strong communication, negotiation, presentation skills, and time management
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to work under a multicultural environment
