The Business Development Manager for Global Campus Partnerships at Northeastern University plays a pivotal role in expanding and strengthening the university's engagement with industry partners across a diverse network of global campuses and 10 colleges. This strategic position focuses on developing and enhancing network-wide opportunities for student experiential programs, research collaborations, and facilitating the transfer of faculty expertise to industry partners. The incumbent will also be responsible for promoting and selling the university's research capabilities, facilities, and B2B learning portfolio, fostering new partnerships, and nurturing existing relationships to drive mutually beneficial collaborations. In this role, the Business Development Manager will strategically identify growth opportunities by discerning and capitalizing on untapped potential within existing partnerships. This involves using business acumen to identify avenues for mutual growth and cultivating strong ties with current industry partners as well as key stakeholders within the university, spanning colleges, campuses, programs, and research centers. The manager will utilize seasoned networking skills to navigate through diverse university connections, drawing on an established track record to comprehend evolving needs. The position also requires innovating strategies for deeper collaboration, ensuring that relationships transcend conventional boundaries. The manager will maximize the value of existing partnerships through strategic planning and implementation, informed by an understanding of both the university and industry landscapes. Additionally, the role involves identifying and securing new partnerships by researching and analyzing industry trends, actively seeking and engaging new stakeholders, and presenting compelling proposals that showcase the university's services and value proposition. Managing the scoping, presentation, and proposal development is another key responsibility. The manager will promote and sell the university's B2B learning portfolio to industry partners, collaborating with internal teams to tailor offerings based on partner needs, objectives, and deliverables. Negotiating and finalizing agreements that align with both parties' objectives is also a critical aspect of this role. Furthermore, the manager will facilitate experiential programs by collaborating with academic departments to develop and enhance student experiential programs, ensuring a seamless integration between academic curricula and industry needs. Collaboration and communication are essential in this position, as the manager will work closely with internal stakeholders to align business development efforts with university goals, providing regular updates on partnership progress, successes, and challenges, and fostering a culture of collaboration within the business development team.
