As a Business Development Manager at Great Lakes Ace, you will be responsible for developing and nurturing relationships with existing business customers while actively seeking new business opportunities. This role requires leveraging your outside sales skills and utilizing our extensive network of physical locations and vendor partners to tap into the significant growth potential within the business customer segment. You will employ relationship-based sales techniques to grow sales with existing accounts, utilizing reporting and in-store shopping habits to identify and maximize sales growth opportunities. Your responsibilities will include aggressively targeting new business customer opportunities that are relevant to the market and have demonstrated potential for significant sales and profit growth. You will identify leads through your own contacts and in collaboration with the B2B Merchandise Manager, District Managers, Store Managers, and B2B Champions. Staying informed about market trends will be crucial for uncovering new product sales opportunities and maintaining relevance with business customers. In this role, you will act as a liaison between GLA business customers and store teams, ensuring that product needs and customer demands are met promptly. You will have the flexibility to establish special pricing, special orders, and custom solutions in partnership with management, following established guidelines. Participation in local events and key trade shows will also be part of your duties to foster new and existing business relationships. A strong team approach is essential for success in this position, and some travel will be required, with access to a company vehicle provided.
