About the position

The Business Development Manager for LogistiQ at LEWCO, Inc. is responsible for developing and managing opportunities for LogistiQ conveyor products to achieve sales and profit goals. This role involves designing and recommending sales programs and marketing strategies to create new opportunities for these products. The manager will collaborate with product team members to enhance product and service offerings, aiming to improve customer satisfaction and maximize sales. The position requires the implementation of effective sales techniques to increase sales volume and profitability. Key responsibilities include increasing profitable sales of assigned LogistiQ products, identifying and developing new opportunities for customer solutions, and recognizing potential for new or unique products that could lead to long-term production opportunities. The manager will also be involved in developing and collaborating on marketing campaigns and initiatives, managing and winning orders for assigned RFQs, and effectively communicating with customers, Applications Engineers, and other departments within the LogistiQ organization. Participation in strategic sales discussions and objective setting is also a critical aspect of this role. The position demands extensive travel, including site visits, meetings, sales solicitations, and trade shows. The Business Development Manager must become proficient in the assigned products and their applications to effectively serve customers and drive sales growth.

Responsibilities

  • Increase profitable sales of assigned LogistiQ products.
  • Identify and develop new opportunities to utilize LogistiQ conveyor products for customer solutions.
  • Recognize opportunities for new or unique products and applications that lead to new product development and long-term production opportunities.
  • Develop and collaborate in marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Manage and win orders for assigned RFQs.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with customers, Applications Engineers, and other departments in the LogistiQ organization.
  • Participate in strategic sales discussions and objective setting.
  • Become proficient in assigned products and their application.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related area is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of sales experience, preferably in Retail, Ecommerce, Distribution, or Parcel Marketplace.
  • Ability to understand, analyze, and communicate solutions for a wide variety of customer product handling applications.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Problem-solving skills in a collaborative manner.
  • Leadership qualities inside and outside the organization.
  • Negotiation skills and a passion for LogistiQ's success.
  • High energy, positive attitude, and results-driven mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to perform calculations and analyze numbers.
